The short version Cheap marketing isn't cheap. It's just slow to show you the bill.

Know exactly what to do next.

A senior marketing brain in your corner, to tell you what's working, what to stop wasting money on, and where your next dollar should actually go.

You're doing plenty of marketing. You just can't tell if any of it's working.

You've got a website, some ads, a few social accounts, maybe an email list. Money's going out the door in five directions. And the honest answer to "is this working?" is a shrug, because nobody's ever pulled it together and told you the truth about what's actually bringing in customers and what's just busywork with an invoice attached.

So you keep spending, half-guessing, hoping. The problem usually isn't that you're doing too little. It's that you're doing too much of the wrong things and can't see which is which. What you're missing isn't more effort, it's someone who's done this a hundred times telling you where to point the effort you've already got.

Clarity you can act on Monday morning.

  • An honest audit of your marketing: what's working, what's leaking money, and what's just noise, in plain language, not jargon.
  • A clear plan for where your next dollar and hour should go, prioritized, so you know what to do first instead of everything at once.
  • A second opinion before you sign with an agency or commit to a big spend, so you don't get talked into something you don't need.
  • Straight answers to the questions you can't ask the people trying to sell you something, because we're not pitching you a retainer.
  • A sounding board when you're weighing a decision, someone who's seen it play out before and can tell you how it usually goes.

How the thinking gets done.

1

Tell Us Where You're Stuck

We start with what's actually on your mind, the decision you're weighing, the spend you're unsure about, or just the nagging sense that something's off. That's the real starting point, not a generic template.

2

We Dig Into the Reality

We look at what you're actually doing and what it's producing, your numbers, your channels, your market. No opinion until we understand your situation, because advice before diligence is just guessing.

3

You Get the Straight Version

We tell you what we'd do and why, in plain English, ranked by what'll move the needle most. Including the uncomfortable parts, if the answer is "stop doing that," you'll hear it.

4

You Decide What's Next

You walk away with a plan you can run yourself, hand to your team, or have us execute, your call. No pressure to buy anything else. The advice stands on its own.

Advice from someone who's actually done it, not just sold it.

Plenty of "consultants" have read the blogs and never run a campaign in their life. Our advice comes from the opposite place. Before UMG, the founder spent years running entire marketing departments across dozens of industries, buying the ads, writing the copy, building the systems, and living with the results. That's the difference between someone telling you what should work in theory and someone telling you what actually happens when you try it.

The other thing: our advice isn't a sales pitch wearing a disguise. When an agency "consults," the recommendation is always, somehow, exactly what they sell. We'll tell you the truth even when the truth is "you don't need us for this," or "don't spend that money yet." That kind of straight answer is the whole point, and it's why the consulting stands on its own instead of being bait for a retainer. More about who that is →

  • Consulting is about the thinking, not the doing. You get the plan and the honest read, then decide who executes it, you, your team, or us. Plenty of people take the plan and run it themselves. That's a perfectly good outcome, and we're fine with it.
  • Often especially then, because a small business feels every wasted dollar. Senior marketing thinking is usually locked behind big-agency retainers most small businesses can't justify. Consulting gets you that thinking without signing up for all of it, so you stop guessing with money you can't spare.
  • Then we've done our job. The whole value is a straight answer, including the uncomfortable ones, "that campaign isn't working," or "you're spending on the wrong channel." Comfortable advice that costs you money isn't worth paying for. Honest advice that saves it is.
  • No. If we think one of our services genuinely fits, we'll say so, but the advice stands on its own and we'll tell you when the answer is to do it yourself or spend nothing. Advice that's secretly a sales funnel isn't advice, and it's not how we work.
